Poultry Project
The poultry project has a twofold goal! The eggs will not only be a source of income for the orphanage but also a nutritious form of nourishment for the children.
Piggery Project
Piggery farming is one of the fastest income-generating projects available. The piggery project will not only be a source of income for the orphanage but also a study center for the people in the community, allowing them to learn how they too can embrace sustainable piggery practices to provide for themselves and their families.
Solar Systems Project
Due to the electricity shortage in this area, solar panels and batteries are needed to compensate for the deficit. This project will provided needed indoor and outdoor lights at the orphanage, improving the living conditions of the children as well as maintaining safety and security.
Water Tank Project
The orphanage requires two water tanks to provide safe and clean water for all the children and the ministry, as well as to keep water from evaporating during the dry season.
Fencing Project
Fencing the orphanage will protect our projects and property as well as increase the security and safety of the children and staff.
Second Dormitory
An immediate need for the orphanage is the completion of a second dormitory. As the children are growing, a second dormitory will allow us to separate them by gender and allow for privacy. Construction on a second dormitory has started but stalled due to the increasing costs of construction materials.
Church Plant
Because the area surrounding the orphanage is saturated by false doctrine and spiritually misleading teaching, no nearby church is theologically sound. Our children must walk 8 km (5 mi) to attend a Bible-believing church. Therefore, we need to plant a Christ-loving church that will teach sound doctrine to prepare the children and others in the community to live a gospel-centered life.
School Project
In Uganda, children have to pay school fees to attend school each semester. A school on the orphanage property would give the children the opportunity to have a Christ-centered, faith-based foundation with higher quality and closer supervision.
Ministry Van Project
Transportation is needed for trips to the market as well as travels to a larger city for advanced medical care. At this time, the easiest and cheapest method of transportation is motorcycle, which is obviously unsafe for small children. A ministry van is needed to haul large quantities of food from the market and to safely transport our children.
